Visited March 23, 2026 · 61,050 miles · Inspected by Robbie S.
We found your 2021 Toyota Tacoma (61,050 miles) is due for a rear brake job soon—the rear brake linings are down to about 1 mm, and braking performance can drop quickly at this point, so this is the most important safety concern to address. We also found the front driver’s CV boot is leaking; if it’s left too long it can lose grease and lead to CV joint wear and a more expensive repair. The right-side license plate light is broken and should be replaced to keep the truck street-legal and help avoid a ticket. Additionally, the truck is sitting low in the rear (leaning backward), and it may need a rear suspension adjustment and/or a spacer in the rear leaf springs to level it back out. The front brake pads are measuring about 2 mm, so they’re getting low and should be planned for soon as well. Other than these concerns, the rest of the systems we checked—including fluids and no visible oil, coolant, or transmission leaks—look to be in good shape overall.
